Website build
Read the first half so you know what you are getting. Answer the questions in the second half in one message, and the site can be built within a week.
See it first
One is a live studio, one is a sample. Tap through to the booking calendar on each and try booking something. That is what your clients will do.
Booking
Right now every appointment costs you a conversation. She messages you, you ask which day, she answers three hours later, you check the calendar, you go back and forth, and a good number of them drift off and never book at all. That happens on evenings, on your day off, and while you have someone in the chair.
After this, you set your hours once. That is the last decision you make.
Because your calendar holds the prices, the site can never show the wrong one. You change a price in the app you already use every day, and your website is correct within seconds. So after launch, you do not need me for anything.
What you get
Where new clients come from
Your followers already found you. The growth is in the woman three miles away who has never heard your name, is sitting in her car right now typing "lash extensions near me", and is going to book someone this week. Right now you are not one of the options she is shown. Once you are, your prices do the rest of the work, because you are cheaper than the salons she is looking at. Two separate things decide whether she ever sees your name.
When someone searches like that, Google puts a map with three businesses at the very top, above every website. Almost all the taps go to those three. Your Google Business Profile is what qualifies you for that box, and most studios are quietly disqualifying themselves.
She now has three names side by side, with a star rating and a review count under each. She has never met any of you. That number is the only evidence she has, and this is what people say they do with it.
BrightLocal Local Consumer Review Survey, 2026.
Review count and recency also feed back into the first part. Google reads a steady stream of recent reviews as a sign the business is active and worth showing, so the two work on each other. Five good reviews from five months ago is the position most studios are in, and it loses to a competitor with forty, even when the work is not as good.
Asking every client yourself, every day, forever, is the part nobody keeps up. So it gets set up once to happen on its own: appointment finishes, she gets a message with your review link. Every client, no exceptions, nothing offered in return, which is what Google requires. You do nothing, and the number goes up every week instead of every time you remember.
One thing to know before you decide. The automatic sending is not on the free tier. It needs your booking system's paid plan, around $29 a month. That plan is not only about reviews: it is also what lets you charge a no-show fee, take deposits, and run a waitlist that refills a cancelled slot on its own. For most studios one recovered no-show a month more than covers it. I will confirm the exact price for whichever system you use before you commit to anything, and if you would rather not pay it, everything else still works and you send review requests by hand.
How it works
Investment
The site is identical in both. What changes is whether I also do the work that gets you found by people who have never heard of you.
For a studio whose clients already know where to find her.
For a studio that wants strangers finding her on Google, not just the clients she already has.
Only if you teach. Your teaching hours are worth more per hour than your chair hours, and almost nobody finds a course by searching for one.
Half to start, half at launch. Changes after the two included rounds are $100 an hour, or $350 for a block of four hours to use across the year. Extra pages, extra languages and photography are quoted before I start.
Ongoing costs
You should see this before you decide, not after.
| What | Cost |
|---|---|
| Your web addressThe yourstudio.com part. You rent it a year at a time, like a licence plate. We set it to renew automatically on your card, so there is nothing to remember. | About $11 a year |
| Keeping the site onlineNothing. Your site is built the light way, so it does not need a monthly plan the way a Squarespace or Wix site does. | $0 |
| Booking system, free planOnline booking, calendar, payments, text reminders. Enough to run the studio. | $0 |
| Booking system, paid planNeeded for automatic review requests, and it also unlocks no-show fees, deposits, a waitlist and class booking. Optional, and you can start or stop it whenever you like. | About $29 a month |
Skip the paid booking plan and your site keeps working for about $11 a year, the renewal on your web address.
The one monthly cost is your booking system's paid plan, around $29. It runs the automatic review requests, and it also lets you charge for no-shows, so for a lot of studios it pays for itself the first time somebody does not turn up.
I will confirm the exact figure for whichever booking system you use before you commit to anything, since the price differs between them and they do change it.
